The Family of Cory Sample

I have been a CIBC Account holder most of my life and since 1975 as a Lawyer in Windsor. I met Cory about 20-25 years ago as a Manager of the Main Branch in Windsor and Cory was responsible for my Law Firm and personal banking. We became friends and lunched at least twice a year. I admired Cory’s wit, insight and humour. I remained faithful to Cory’s banking skills after my Law Firm departed from CIBC. It was Cory who created and implemented a financing plan for my family to eventually acquire a small farm, renovate the farm house and leave Windsor. I trust Cory’s judgment and she was right and had confidence in me and my law practice. She presented me with a plague commemorating my loyalty to the Bank. In truth; it was my friendship with Cory that she honoured.

I stuck my head into her office late last fall to say hello and ask how she was coping with cancer. She had high spirits. She remembered all of my children; where they were and how I was doing. I was saddened to lose a friend, firstly and the only “Banker” I have ever known. She was the personal face to the CIBC. I shall miss Cory’s smile, charm and wit. Above all, she helped me and my family with a myriad of banking issues for the past 20 years.

I counted Cory as a friend and I shall remember her in my prayers forever.

God Bless you all.

Joe & Jeannie Ricard email (Thursday, February 25th, 2010)
Our little corner of the world suffered a great lose when God finally decided to take Richard
Soulliere. Richard was an exceptional man as I never have known him to complain about anything. Even when God hospitalized Richard with West Niles for 1 year, Richard wondered why but he really didn't complain. He was given the Sacrament of the Sick (Last Rights) twice during that year. He was very happy that God gave him a wonderful family. AS in most families, he had his share of woes but he accepted whatever God gave him. Richard was president of U.A.W. Retirees Local #212 He worked partime as a Greeter at Grosse Pointe Woods Park and even more importantly he volunterily taught catechism (5th grade) at St. Joan of Arc school. Anna, Richard Jr. Suzette and Jeanie will have a difficult time getting over Richard's passing as will, of course, his grand children. As a Christian, we would say it is safe to pray to Richard not for him.

Velma and Sam Coppola email (Saturday, February 20th, 2010)
I have known Jennie for 58 years and have been married to her brother Sam for 54 1/2 years. She was always so kind and loving and appreciative of anything that was done for her. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She and her husband raised seven great children. Everyone loved her so very much. There are so many good stories Sam and I recall about her. She will truly be missed by us and all of our children. We also want to thank Kathy for bringing her to see us so many times in the past 20 years and especially for taking such good care of her the past 6 years. To all of you: remember all the good - and sometimes not so good - things about your mom and grandmother. Keep talking about her and sharing all of your stories. She will live in our hearts forever and we will miss her so very much. The memories will live on for many years.

JOSEPHINE CLOUD email (Sunday, January 31st, 2010)
Dear Judy,
I have many memories of Uncle Billy, He was always so entertaining and made me laugh with all of his stories.
When I was 16, I was in a car accident on the eastside and was
put in St. john hospital for a week. He found a doctor who did the stitches on my face so you could hardly see them. I know my parents were grateful that he stepped in to help them.
I was very pleased that he went to see my daughter Jessica perform at UDM. He will truly be missed.
Sincerely, Josephine (Buncie) Cloud
