Grief Support

“To wonder, ‘Is grief ever finished ?’ is similar to asking someone, ‘How high is up ?’ It is very easy to miss the movement you are making in the process of your own grief because it may seem small in comparison to the great pain you are feeling.” By Dr. John D. Canine (Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc.)

Losing someone they loved, forces an individual to examine their own personal feelings, values and priorities. However, this process is what we call grief and is our natural reaction to loss, especially the death of a significant person in our lives. Taking the time to learn about death and working through your own grief can improve the quality of your life.

Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons is committed to establishing a healthy grief process and has partnered with Dr. John Canine with Maximum Living Bereavement Aftercare Services to provide education and counseling support for the families of our community.

Twice a month, families or individuals, we have had the honor of serving, may attend support group meetings and have the opportunity to take part in one session with a licensed grief counselor, all at no charge.

Wujek-Calcaterra & Son’s annual Christmas Candlelight Vigil has brought peace and comfort to thousands in our community over the years. This renowned celebration is another example of the importance our funeral home places on continued grief support. Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons is committed to understanding the struggles and challenges of the bereaved and our companions on their journey.
